University Of Arkansas – Arkansas Razorbacks WOOOOO Pig! Sooie! It's time to call the Hogs! The University of Arkansas, known more commonly as U of A, was founded in 1871 as Arkansas Industrial University. The contemporary name being added to this institution of higher learning in 1899. The University is located in Fayetteville, AR, and one thing remains true for thousands of football fans throughout the Sun-Belt region; they love their Razorbacks! 2007 Arkansas Razorbacks Outlook: 2006 was a year of pleasant surprises for Arkansas Razorback fans. Not only did they muscle their way into the SEC championship game, but they introduced a young man by the name of Darren McFadden to football fans world-wide. 2007 should be another year of potent offense, and improved defense. McFadden is coming in healthy, and he sits at the top of the pre-season Heisman watch list. In 2007 he'll have the company of several more All-SEC pre-season picks to help do some damage in the conference. Look out for the “Battle of The Boot” vs. LSU. It could be the game to crown the SEC West Champ. 2007 Arkansas Razorbacks Schedule

His southern charm is only rivaled by his willingness to mix up his line-up in order to find the most productive team chemistry. His head coaching career began at Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky, where he took a losing program and in three years won a conference championship. His success there led him to a short stint at Boise State University, before he got the call from “home” to become the head coach of the Razorbacks. In 2006 Nutt instituted the “Wildcat” offensive set, frustrating defenses with offensive explosions, offering his squad immense success as the season progressed. Arkansas Razorbacks - Key Departures/Players To Watch What more can be said about Darren McFadden? How about a reminder that 2007 is only his Junior year, after finishing as the runner-up in Heisman voting as a Sophomore. Casey Dick will be the man taking the snaps this year, after the departure of Arkansas native and hopeful star QB, Mitch Mustain, who transferred to the University of Southern California. |
