University Of Colorado – Colorado Buffaloes

Founded in 1876 and located in Boulder, Colorado, the University of Colorado currently boasts an enrollment of over 31,000 students. It is truly one of the most beautiful campuses in the United States of America. Most of the students, residents of Boulder and fans of CU are ready for the Buffaloes to return to their playing form of the 1980s and 1990s, when the buffalo would run across the field and 50,000 plus fans would go nuts. Recent years have been marred by controversy, suspensions, probations and too many tallies in the loss column.

2007 Colorado Buffaloes Outlook:

After finishing the 2006 season a disappointing 2-10, 2007 offers a lot of room for improvement. Second year coach Dan Hawkins is hoping for something just shy of a miracle, as Colorado has simply struggled to put any points on the board. As the month of August progresses, many things will continue to fall into place for the Buffs as Hawkins is going to need to tap into his Freshman talent to make this year's team better. If you're in Boulder, expect improvement - but without impressive results.

2007 Colorado Buffaloes Head Coach Profile

Dan Hawkins enters his second year in Colorado hoping for one thing, a marked improvement. If that mark happens to be a few more notches in the win column, even better. However, Hawkins is now rebuilding a program that must rely on his excellent recruiting skills. This year's freshman class will be the true litmus test of Hawkins, and what direction he is likely to take the University of Colorado.

2007 Colorado Buffaloes – Players To Watch/Key Departures

This could be the greatest mystery in all of college sports. Who is going to step up and become the much needed emotional leader for the struggling Colorado Buffaloes? Losing kicker Mason Crosby means that Colorado has to replace one of their top offensive weapons.

It looks like Cody Hawkins, son of Coach Dan Hawkins could be the man at QB this fall. Will it translate to more drama at CU, or will it offer one of the best turnaround, feel good stories in college football?
