University Of Mississippi – Ole Miss Rebels Hell yes! Damn right! Hottie, toddy, gosh almighty, who the hell are we? Hey! Flim flam, bim bam, Ole Miss, by damn! If you travel to Oxford, MS, there's no telling who you might bump into. It could be famous alumni John Grisham, Deuce McAllister, Eli or Archie Manning, actors Joe Jackson, Henry Dittman or Kate Jackson, comedian Pat Rigby, Jamie Robledo or maybe a bunch of dudes in a pickup truck with a Rebel flag flying out the back. Regardless of who it might be, they all know how to respond to one question: Are you ready? Founded in 1848, the University of Mississippi is more fondly known as Ole Miss. It is rich in southern tradition as well as rich in its offerings to the NFL. The 16,000 students, Mississippi locals and alumni are ready to don their red and blue in 2007, while they get their beloved Rebels back in the multiple win column. 2007 Ole Miss Rebels Outlook: The Rebels start their season off with a couple non-conference games that won't be easy wins by any stretch of the imagination. The team has obviously struggled since the graduation of Eli Manning a few years ago, and Rebel fans are waiting for the arrival of the next winning Ole Miss team. 2007 promises to be another tough conference season, however they should benefit from facing the conference big guns in their own back yard. Coach Orgeron's recruiting abilities should begin to shine through this season, and offer an improvement on 2006's 4-8 overall record. 2007 Ole Miss Rebels Schedule

It's no secret that the man is a recruiting genius, and it should only be a matter of time before his recruited classes are pushing Ole Miss back up the SEC West standings. He brought his line coaching experience to the Rebels after completing a successful seven year stint with the USC Trojans, where he enjoyed sharing multiple national championships. Ole Miss Rebels – Players To Watch BenJarvis Green-Ellis is a player to keep an eye on. A running back with all the tools, he still managed an impressive 1,000 yard season although the Rebels record was a disappointing 4-8. He looks to improve upon the totals from his Jr. season while running behind another player that is worth an extended look, Michael Oher. Oher comes into his Jr. season as one of the most respected offensive linemen in the prestigious SEC. |
