University Of Oklahoma – Oklahoma Sooners What is going on in Norman, OK? It's always discouraging to see student-athletes make poor decisions, but what's more discouraging is to see the way it affects their teammates who played by the rules, season in and season out. Regardless, the Oklahoma Sooners have a schedule for 2007 and you can be sure that Bob Stoops will have the boys ready to play. The school, founded in 1890, now boasts a student body 27,000 strong, and regardless of past records being erased, they will be there in full force, singing “Boomer Sooner,” at the top of their lungs! 2007 Oklahoma Sooners Outlook: Oklahoma looks good. They always look good. Can the good can become great in the course of the 2007 season? Only time will tell. They've got a Sooner-friendly schedule to start the season, and arguably, they will go 5-0 or 4-1 to start the season before facing UT in Austin. The question on everyone's mind in Norman, and mine in Los Angeles: Who's their #1 quarterback? Week 1 vs. North Texas should offer Stoops the opportunity to take a good look at anyone he's interested in, as they should have the coffin nails out by half. 2007 Oklahoma Sooner Schedule

In his first eight seasons, he has led the Sooners to 4 conference championships, eight bowl berths (4 of which were BCS bowls), and one national championship. Everything Oklahoma faithful hoped for, he has delivered. And because of his success, he is the 2nd highest paid NCAA Football coach behind Alabama's Nick Saban. 2007 Oklahoma Sooners – Players To Watch/Key Departures Hmm, this fella by the name of Adrian Peterson comes to mind. Obviously, the Sooner can't replace a talent such as Peterson – but wait, maybe they can. Although the running backs will share time in the 2007 Sooners offensive set, DeMarco Murray is something special. “All Day” the sequel? We'll have to wait and see. |
