Oklahoma State University – OSU Cowboys Where is Boone Pickens Stadium? Where else? Stillwater, OK! Founded in 1890, the Oklahoma State University Cowboys are 23,000 strong, including the guys and gals that make up their liberal arts colleges. They have a rich history and produced a couple of the NFL's greatest running backs (Thurman Thomas and Barry Sanders). And for the past several years have been teetering on the line of a major breakthrough. Could 2007 be the year? And one side note: If you're ever in Stillwater, you've got to stop by Eskimo Joe's! 2007 Oklahoma State Cowboys Outlook: They finished their 2006 season on an incredibly high note, taking down Alabama in the Independence Bowl. The team is quite literally loaded with talent and potential, but much of it remains unrealized. That being said, this next step is up to the players – it's time for the upper classmen to step up, and bring their talented frosh and sophomore class along for the ride! 2007 is a coin toss – it could very well be another .500 season, or OSU could come charging out of the gates to a 9 or 10 win season. 2007 Oklahoma State Cowboys Schedule

Now it's up to Gundy and his staff to get a little momentum rolling and then get out of the way of the players. In his two seasons at OSU he's accumulated 11 wins vs. 13 losses, but that stat should easily swing to the plus side after a moderate to highly successful 2007 campaign. 2007 Oklahoma State Cowboys – Players To Watch/Key Departures They're still a very young team, but experience is now beginning to emerge. Look for moments of great football from quarterback Bobby Reid, possession wide receiver Adarius Bowman and the speedy wide receiver Artrell Woods. Dantrell Savage will be back and better than ever at the RB position. If the defense can help out this potent offense, look out for the Cowboys in the Big XII South. |
