2007 Syracuse Orange Outlook:
Coming off a 4-8 campaign, the 2007 season could be coach Greg Robinson’s last unless the team performs much better. With 12 starters returning, the Orange is unlikely to make much of an impact in the Big East. Sophomore Andrew Robinson will be taking over at quarterback. The Syracuse offense was dismal a year ago. The defensive line is solid, but the secondary could be a problem. It will be hard for Robinson to keep his job after this season.

Syracuse Orange Head Coach Profile
Greg Robinson has enjoyed great success as a coordinator in both the NFL and college. Robinson was the defensive coordinator on the Denver Broncos back-to-back championship teams. Prior to accepting the head coaching position at Syracuse, Robinson was the co-defensive coordinator at the University of Texas. An unimpressive 5-18 record in his first two seasons has landed Robinson on the hot seat. Success in 2007 is critical to Robinson’s job security.
Syracuse Orange-Key Departures/Players to Watch
Defensive end Jameel McClain is a beast on the defensive line. McClain led the Big East with 9.5 sacks in 2006. On offense, new quarterback Andrew Robinson will rely on running back Curtis Brinkley to carry the load.
