Boomer Esiason - Westwood One
Lead Play-by-Play Announcer: Westwood One
Boomer Esiason was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in 1984 and remains one of the city's all-time favorite players to this day. His strong arm and accurate eye led him to be voted into the Pro Bowl four times over the course of his career. While playing for the Bengals, Esiason had his team set up to win Super Bowl XXIII, until Joe Montana's 49ers managed to go 92 yards and score the deciding touchdown with only 34 seconds left in the game. After nine seasons with the Bengals, Esiason signed with the New York Jets for two seasons then helmed the Arizona Cardinals in 1996 before returning full-circle to Cincinnati for the 1997 season. Fittingly, Esiason's last play as a Bengal was a 77 yard touchdown pass to Darnay Scott. Since his retirement, Boomer was a color commentator on ABC's "Monday Night Football" from 1998 to 2000, then he was picked up by Westwood One's radio network to be an analyst for the radio broadcast of the Monday night games. He also works as an analyst on CBS' "The NFL Today" and hosts his own show, "The Boomer Esiason Show" on the Madison Square Garden Network.
