Suzy Kolber - ABC/ESPN
Lead Play-by-Play Announcer: ABC/ESPN
Suzy Kolber is a woman working in what many would consider a man's world. However, her passion for the game and her expert knowledge places her ahead of the field of contenders. Since joining ESPN in 1993, Kolber has been the recipient of the Maxwell Club's Sports Broadcaster of the Year Award in 2006 and she was chosen for the Sports Business Daily's 2004 List of the Top 10 Favorite Sports Personalities in the Past 10 Years. Recently, she perfected her NFL sideline reporting to be awarded the job at Super Bowl XL in Detroit. This year, you can expect to find her as part of ESPN's new "Monday Night Football" team as the network takes over broadcasts for the world famous program. Kolber, a graduate from Miami University, wears many hats at ESPN. She's a regular correspondent during the network's annual NFL draft day coverage, she serves as the on-site host of ESPN's coverage of both the French Open and Wimbledon and she has even covered Triple Crown horse racing for both ESPN and ESPN2. She also serves as "SportsCenter" anchor when the NFL season is over and she's covered and hosted the X Games and Winter X Games. Kolber has also made her presence known on "College GameDay" and ESPN2's program "Sports Figures." In 1996, Kolber left ESPN for a job at FOX Sports, but returned to the premiere sports network in August of 1999, and she's been a sporting event staple ever since.
