Terrell Davis - NFL

Terrell Davis

Lead Play-by-Play Announcer: NFL

Terrell Davis was drafted in the 6th round of the 1995 NFL draft by the Denver Broncos. As the sixth running back in the rotation, the odds of making the team were low. However, through determination, talent and will, Davis not only made the team that year, but ended up being the starting running back on opening day. In his seven seasons with the Broncos, Davis finished as their all-time leading rusher and holder of multiple team records. Currently, Terrell Davis is an analyst on the NFL Network's NFL Total Access.

Terrell Davis, or TD as he's commonly called, was instrumental in the back-to-back Super Bowl wins for the Denver Broncos. In Super Bowl XXXII against the Green Bay Packers, Davis rushed for 157 yards and three touchdowns. He was the first player ever to score three times in the Super Bowl and was named the MVP of the big game. The very next year, in Super Bowl XXXIII, the Broncos defeated the Atlanta Falcons with the help of TD's 152 yards from scrimmage. That win capped off a record-breaking year for Davis as he was awarded the league MVP, his first NFL rushing title, his third straight AFC rushing title, NFL Offensive Player of the Year honors and was voted to the Pro Bowl. Davis was inducted into the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame in 2004 and this year, it was announced that he will be inducted into the Denver Broncos "Ring of Fame." He was also honored as a member of the NFL 1990s All-Decade Team. An induction into the NFL Hall of Fame can't be too far behind.

Hammers Dropped

  1. NFL Network's Sunday Night programming brought me the visage of one Terrell Davis. When trying to recount the pearls associated around his list of top defensive plays of week one, Davis looked about as uncomforable as my 3 year old nephew trying to get poty-trained. After some complications, he finally gave up. Terrell Davis, unfortunately, did not.
