Mark Burke is an English ex-professional footballer who played in several countries including England, Holland, Japan and Romania, having the distinction of being the first British player to ever play in Romania.
Burke has seen football from the inside, at the highest levels, and has a very unique view of the game in all of its various shapes and forms.
His articles give the readers a view of what the game is REALLY like, and how players, coaches, managers and directors really think. Including the machinations and the politics inside the game, Burke has seen it all and writes about it in his own style.
Burke was encouraged to write by his good friend, Simon Kuper, the renowned Dutch journalist who encouraged Burke to write as he talks - which is a lot!
