Championship Preview: Burnley host Ipswich, QPR travel to Millwall
By Football News
Unbeaten Queens Park Rangers visit Millwall on Saturday, as they look to wrestle top spot in the Championship from Burnley.
QPR have conceded just two goals in 10 league games so far this season while Millwall have conceded nine in their last two games alone so Harry Redknapp's men, who trail Burnley on goal difference having played a game less, will be confident of victory at the New Den.
Sean Dyche's Burnley side, meanwhile, will be bidding to extend their six-game winning streak as they face Ipswich Town at Portman Road.
Ipswich beat Burnley 2-0 on the final day of last season to leapfrog them in the table and Mick McCarthy will be hoping for a similar performance from his side who are currently in seventh, having lost only once in seven matches.
Third-placed Leicester City host an out of sorts Huddersfield Town as they look to get back to winning ways having suffered their second defeat of the season at Doncaster Rovers last time out.
Mark Robins' Huddersfield started the season well but travel to the King Power Stadium looking to arrest a winless run of four league games that has seen them drop to 13th in the table.
Nottingham Forest fans can expect to see an entertaining encounter as Billy Davies' side, currently in fourth, host eighth-placed AFC Bournemouth. The away side's eleven matches so far have witnessed an amazing 42 goals.
Bottom club Barnsley, the only team to have conceded more than Bournemouth, entertain Middlesbrough, having lost five of their last six matches.
Yeovil Town's 4-1 hammering by Middlesbrough last time out was their eighth defeat in ten games. They host Oscar Garcia's Brighton and Hove Albion, a club also suffering a mini-slump with only one win from their last seven games.
Sheffield Wednesday are also on a terrible run of form. They are yet to win from ten games this season, having drawn six and lost four. They have a chance to change that with a trip to fellow strugglers Bolton Wanderers, who were also winless until their 2-1 victory at Birmingham City in the last round of fixtures.
Birmingham, who are also struggling, travel to Elland Road to take on Leeds United on Sunday. Brian McDermott's Leeds side started the season well, but have dropped to 14th after a recent run of four defeats from five games.
Elsewhere, fifth-placed Watford host Derby County, while Doncaster Rovers travel to Reading and struggling Charlton Athletic visit Blackburn Rovers looking for their first win in seven.
