Chinese Super League: Liaoning Whowin 1 Guangzhou Evergrande 1
By Football News
Champions Guangzhou Evergrande all but extinguished Liaoning Whowin's AFC Champions League hopes after hitting back to claim a 1-1 draw.
Huang Bowen's 78th-minute strike earned Marcello Lippi's men a point after Kim Tae-Yan had handed the hosts the advantage in the first half on Tuesday.
And with just two victories from their last 11 Chinese Super League matches, Whowin's hopes of a top-three finish appear remote.
Ma Lin's charges are nine points behind Beijing Guoan, who occupy third spot, with just three games left.
Their task is made even harder by the fact that all of their remaining games are away from home.
Whowin have been poor on the road in their last seven matches, claiming just four points.
