Choriev own-goal steals the show

Farrukh Choriev made headlines for the wrong reasons on Tuesday, netting a spectacular own-goal as Regar-TadAZ drew 1-1 with Al-Safa.

Tajikistan international Choriev put through his own net in the AFC Cup group-stage match at Beirut's Camille Chamoun Sports City Stadium.

In the other Group A match on Tuesday, Al Kuwait beat Al Riffa 2-0 away from home.

Elsewhere, Erbil thumped Al Ahli Ta'izz 4-0 at home to share top spot in Group B with Fanja, who downed Al Ansar by the same scoreline.
