I was born in Blackpool, England in the late Fifties and have lived in Chicago, USA for almost 30 years now.
I have watched, played, and some say, coached this beautiful game of ours but now spend most of my free time writing about it. My aim is to enlighten, amuse, criticize, and sometimes rant, but mostly to give one man’s perspective of the game of soccer from a different angle.
I try to not be held hostage to my loyalties, and would like to be known as someone who "called it as he saw it. I have owned my own blog at "Soccer Limey in America" for almost 3 years now and I'm proud of what we have achieved in the blogging world in such a short time.
I am an avid Man Utd supporter having been a loyal "Stretford Ender" back in the days when there were no seats and fans were locked in an hour before kick off for some matches. I also support Blackpool for obvious reasons and was a keen season ticket holder before leaving home for greener pastures overseas. I have guest written for many Blogs across the Web such as BigSoccer.com.
During World Cup 2010, I was a main contributor and live blogger for WorldCupblog.org moderating for both the England and South African National teams.
