Described by fellow football.com writer, Simon Allen, as “one of the best minds in American soccer” - a sad state of affairs if true - Eric Krakauer learned the game in Portugal, where he was born and raised, and played the game at the academy level. After a brief stint in England, Eric moved to New York where he was coached, and tortured, by former Metrostar, Billy Walsh, at Manhattan College. Since graduating in 2004, Eric has been playing for the Manhattan Kickers of New York’s Cosmopolitan League.
Eric curently runs his own blog, bigsoccerhead.com, and is a guest analyst for the Philadelphia AM radio show, Vuvuzela, which is hosted by Eric Nash.
