Liga MX wrap: Pumas, Guadalajara share spoils
By Football News
Mid-table Liga MX sides Pumas UNAM and Guadalajara played out a 1-1 draw on Sunday, while Toluca edged Atlante.
Pumas and Guadalajara had a chance to settle in the top half but were unable to be separated, leaving them sitting eighth and ninth respectively.
Pumas looked to be on track for an important win when Martin Bravo struck in the 26th minute in front of their home fans at Estadio Olimpia de Universitario.
Guadalajara goalkeeper Luis Michel made a poor decision in coming for a long pass and was left stranded just outside his area.
Bravo applied the composed finish, side-footing his effort over Michel to put Pumas ahead.
Miguel Sabah scored the equaliser for the visitors five minutes before half-time, poking home from close range after goalkeeper Alejandro Palacios failed to get enough on his save.
In the day's other game, Toluca recorded a 1-0 win at Atlante thanks to Luis Tejada's 34th-minute header.
