Lotito lauds aggressive Lazio

By Football News

Claudio Lotito hailed Lazio's performance against Inter Milan, claiming that it was a 'thoroughly deserved victory'.

The Rome-based club snatched a 1-0 win through a late goal from Miroslav Klose at the Stadio Olimpico, a result which saw Juventus maintain a four-point buffer at the top of the table, and now with a game in hand.

"It was a thoroughly deserved victory, as we had plenty of scoring chances," the Lazio president said.

"Klose also had two great chances before he found the net, then scored a wonderful goal. I saw a great Lazio side who were well set out."

Lazio are on an impressive run of form that his seen them win four of their past six, and Lotito felt this latest victory was never really in doubt due to the cohesion of the team.

"Inter hit the woodwork twice, but that is part of the game. They were long-range shots and not particularly down to their play," he added.

"You don't just win games with individual champions but with a team and character. Lazio attacked for 94 minutes."
