Marotta: No Juve return for Ibrahimovic

By Football News

Juventus director general Giuseppe Marotta has dismissed speculation that the club are interested in re-signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The 31-year-old Paris Saint-Germain forward has been linked with a return to the club for whom he played between 2004 and 2006, but Moratta claims club president Andre Agnelli will not finance such a deal.

Marotta told Il Secolo XIX: "He (Moratta) was very clear: Ibra will not return."

He also explained no talks had been held between the club and another rumoured transfer target, Stevan Jovetic.

Speaking about the Fiorentina striker, Moratta said: "He is a great player, but there are no talks with him. Even if a player is being touted by the agent, that does not mean that there are any negotiations."

There have also been reports linking boss Antonio Conte with a departure from the club, despite winning back-to-back Serie A titles, but Moratta explained there are no problems and Conte will remain at the Juventus Stadium.

He continued: "We are in perfect harmony. There really is no problem. Some people would have you believe that there are opposing views among us, but that is not the case.

"Conte will coach Juventus again next year - and even the president has said that."
