Mpumalanga Black Aces have re-signed midfielder Clifford Mulenga from Supersport United, the club has confirmed on Monday.

The talented Zambian international was in the books of Black Aces before making a move to Bloemfontein Celtic that made him a star player. His performance caught the eye of Supersport United but failed to live up to expectations.

He comes back to the club where started his career with hopes the familar scenery will help him get back in form. But the arrival of Bennett Chenene, Thuso Phala and David Mathebula mean Mulenga will be surplus to requirements.

The 25-year old was happy to join Amazayoni and he says he would never turn his back on Black Aces. “I’ve always had a soft spot for Black Aces and I am delighted to reunite with the club.” Mulenga told the club official website.

“Aces is a big team with a great squad and a fantastic coach, and the set-up here is very professional. I am here to score goals and provide goal scoring opportunities for the striker."

Clifford Mulenga has represented Zambia 25 times and he was once a target for European teams such as Arsenal, PSV Eindhoven, and Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, the club has also added former United States left sided player Danieigh Borman to their squad after falling down to the pecking order at Supersport United.
