Spearing completes Bolton switch

Liverpool midfielder Jay Spearing has signed a four-year deal with Bolton after a successful loan spell last season.
The 24-year-old leaves Anfield after making his last appearance for the club in the UEFA Europa League victory over Hearts a year ago, completing the switch to the Championship for an undisclosed fee.
The move comes after a long pursuit by Bolton manager Dougie Freedman, who had suggested that he had been priced out of a move for the midfielder in July.
Spearing made 37 league appearances for Bolton last season, scoring twice, and Freedman is delighted to permanently add him to the club's ranks.
"Jay wanted to come here and wanted to play for the Bolton Wanderers jersey. He brings qualities to the football club both on and off the field," he told the club's official website.
"He turned down a few other clubs to come here and he knows and likes the style of our management team.
"We really have to thank the board and owners on this one.
"The support we’ve had has been great in helping us to acquire such a fantastic young player."
