Van der Wiel: I have no desire to leave PSG
By Football News
Gregory van der Wiel has confirmed he is not interested in a move away from Paris Saint-Germain when the transfer window reopens.
The Dutch defender, who moved from Ajax in September 2012, has been the subject of rumours suggesting that he could be set to leave the Parc des Princes in the off-season.
However, the 25-year-old insists that he has no desire to leave the French capital and is enjoying his football under Carlo Ancelotti.
He told France Football: " I have nothing to say about [speculation]. People talk a lot in the press.
"As with all big clubs, there are many rumours. I take great pleasure in being here, the club is very nice, we have a very good team and I can only improve.
"I have signed a contract for four seasons, I'm not supposed to leave after one year. At first it was difficult and it was necessary to make a number of adjustments, and now I'm getting used to French football and living abroad. But I think I am now playing at my best."
The Netherlands international has made 26 appearances since joining PSG, finding the net once in a 4-0 win at Toulouse back in February.
