One of the most respected men in the entire league, YP Lee is another one of those 'automatic' choices. He was named the club's MVP last season, and is easily one of the top 10 defenders in MLS. Beyond that, his leadership skills are well known, as he routinely pulls guys aside after practices and works one on one with them, trying to impart his wisdom. He's got the age and experience factor working for him, besides being one of the most well liked guys on the club. Lee already commands respect from every opponent he plays, that would only increase if he was given the armband.
