Over the past six seasons, Witten is the only other tight end besides Tony Gonzalez to finish in the Top Eight each year (actually, Top Seven for Witten). Last year, Witten set the record for most receptions by a tight end with 110, but only finished in fifth place. Why? Witten found the end zone just three times. In truth, Witten has never been a huge red-zone guy, topping six TD catches just twice and never hitting double digits. Nevertheless, we’re talking about a man who has averaged 131 targets, 92 receptions and 1,018 yards the past six seasons. And oh, Witten has played all 16 games every year since 2004.
