As I said in early March during a mock draft, and actually as early as the week after the Falcons were eliminated, Gonzalez was going to return in 2013. I couldn’t be happier, and both fantasy and regular fans alike should be too. We’re talking about one of the best ever to play the game. How is this for a stat: since his second season (1998), Gonzalez has finished in the Top 10 every.single.year. That includes four first place finishes, three second and three third! I know Rob Gronkowski finished ahead of him with less games played, but I will take my consistency, good sir, and avoid the risk associated with Gronk’s arm… oh, and at a much cheaper draft cost.
