With the 44th pick of the 2004 NFL Draft, the Indianapolis Colts selected Bob Sanders, a safety out of Iowa. The former Hawkeye spent six seasons with the Colts and was named the AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2007, just one year after helping lead the Colts to a Super Bowl win over the Chicago Bears.
Sanders was one of the best players in the game but he struggled with injuries throughout his career. Injuries forced Sanders to play in less than 10 games in four of his six seasons with the Colts and in his only year with the Chargers.
Honorable mention: Chris Snee
Gronkowski for sure!
