The New Orleans Saints season has been pretty good so far as the team has won six of its first seven games, and has more than met the expectations of head coach Sean Payton.

The Saints play the New York Jets on Sunday, which will not be an easy game. With that being said, however, the next five games after that will be absolutely brutal. These five games are essential to the Saints overall playoff chances, as well as the division title and home field advantage.

These games happen to be all in a row, and that is why they call it the gauntlet. As much as they would like to win all five games, a 3-2 finish during this stretch could keep the Saints in contention for the playoffs.
