By now everybody knows the narrative: hyped quarterback comes into spring as third option, lives up to said hype, has an awesome spring game and becomes the front-runner for the position.
Early in the spring, many fans raved about Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston, and he didn't disappoint. He may be one of the most anticipated stories headed into the fall after all of the events that have taken place in Tallahassee in the last month.
Winston completed 12 of 15 passes for 205 yards and two touchdowns in the Seminoles' spring game. All of the stats came against the first-team defense as well, including a touchdown against one of the best defensive backs in the conference. His decision-making and arm strength left many in awe and will be keys to Florida State's success come fall.
Of course Jimbo Fisher insists the quarterback competition is far from over despite Clint Trickett's departure, but it seems a bit unlikely that either Jacob Coker or Sean Maguire will overtake him for the job.
