Analyzing Oakland's Biggest Offseason Moves
Oakland Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie has made it clear, the Raiders may be building for the future, but they still expect to compete immediately.
The Raiders may have more than $60 million in cap space in 2014, but the organization was put in a tough spot in this year’s free agency with limited cap space to work with. They first cleared salary by moving quarterback Carson Palmer and acquiring Matt Flynn. The Raiders signed several free agents who could make an impact to one year deals, such as Charles Woodson, Josh Cribbs and Rashad Jennings. The Raiders appear to have made solid additions without committing long-term as they look to rebuild in 2014.
