For the second consecutive year, Patriots fans are left at the end of day two asking, "Why would they ever take that guy this high?" Last year, the pick was Tavon Wilson from Illinois; this year, it is Duron Harmon from Rutgers.
Harmon was left off of many draft boards and expected to be an undrafted free agent. Yet New England took him at the end of the 3rd round.
Harmon is projected, at best, to be a special teams player with the Patriots, and many think he might not make the 53-man roster. As much as Bill Belichick loves Rutgers players, this pick might have been a little too much for Patriots fans.
