Bio

Bradley Roby was born in Fort Worth, Texas on May 1, 1992. A cornerback for the Denver Broncos, he was a first round selection in the 2014 NFL Draft. Previously, he played college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Having moved to Suwanee, Georgia, Roby spent his high school years at Peachtree Ridge, playing as both a defensive back and a receiver at various different stages. Although not widely considered to be amongst the top prospects of his class by recruitment analysts, he amassed 42 tackles and six interceptions as a senior, while also recording 526 receiving yards and five touchdown receptions. Roby earned All-State selection and attracted the attention of Ohio State University, where he enrolled in 2010.

After redshirting as a true freshman, Roby went on to make his first appearance for the Buckeyes in 2011 and ended up starting all 13 games as a cornerback during the season. In a solid first year in college football, he registered 47 tackles and was tied as the team's leader for interceptions, with three. At the end of the season, he was given the 1st Year Defensive Player Award by the league's coaches, in recognition of his performances.

During his sophomore season, Roby again started all of the team's games. He was the only defensive player in the country to score three different types of touchdown throughout the year and he also led the nation for passes defended, having recorded 17 pass breakups and two interceptions. Coaches and the media named Roby first team All-Big Ten, while he was also a second team All-America selection by the Associated Press. Moreover, he was a semi finalist for the 2012 Thorpe Award.

Then, as a junior in the 2013 season, Roby became a first team All-Big Ten selection for the second time in his career, after recording 69 tackles and 16 passes defended. He made the decision to bypass his senior year and left Ohio State with the distinction of having started in all 37 games in which he appeared for the Buckeyes.

Following his decision to declare his eligibility for the 2014 NFL Draft, Roby was selected by the Denver Broncos in the first round, as the 31st overall selection.
