Bruce Irvin showed off some great skills at defensive end last season and led all NFL rookies in sacks, with eight. Pete Carroll decided to switch him to outside linebacker this offseason and he should be even more valuable. At 6-foot-3, 248 pounds, his physicality and speed (he ran a 4.45 in the 40-yard dash) will be a factor on defense.

Irvin will miss the first four games for a PED suspension, but expect him to come back hungrier than ever. Carroll has compared him to Von Miller.

“If you go back and look at their numbers, and the kind of athletes those two guys are — their size and speed — they are very similar," Carroll said.
