Larry Fitzgerald has been dealing with a hamstring issue since injuring it in practice Wednesday. As reported by Cardinals blogger Darren Urban, Bruce Arians says Fitzgerald “tweaked” it in practice and not during their game last week against the Rams. He went on to say that Fitz was doing well in practice even though he was slapped with a limited tag once again.

With so little time left between now and Sunday, this is shaping up to be a game time decision. With the Cardinals not kicking off until the late afternoon Sunday, it has the makings of a tense day for his fantasy owners. But as Urban pointed out, you’d much rather have him miss just one game than have it turn into a long-term issue.

Arians also said that he is pleased with how the team practiced as a whole this week and that the atmosphere in practice was almost “too competitive”. The Cards are looking to bounce back after a tough loss to St. Louis, but it doesn’t get any easier for them this week against a good Lions squad.

Update: ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Fitzgerald is slated to play today against the Detroit despite being listed with the questionable tag.
