Wuerffel also joins Testaverde as one of six players to win four of the major college awards in one season.

Outside of Tebow, he is the most decorated quarterback in Florida history. He earned first-team All-American and all-SEC twice, SEC player of the year twice, and helped lead the Gators to four consecutive SEC championships (for context, Alabama struggled to win two of the last four).

While Florida won the 1991 SEC title, it was Wuerffel who put the Gators on the SEC map where they've stayed ever since.

He's not the first and won't be the last great quarterback in Gainesville. But along with Steve Spurrier, he made the Gators into SEC contenders year-in and year-out.
