Kickoff Countdown: Four Days

Editor's Note: This is the fourth in a seven-day series designed to sustain college football fans until North Carolina and South Carolina kick off the season Aug. 29 at 6 p.m. ET. We've looked at the best, underrated and worst states for producing FBS talent, reflected on our favorite tailgating memories and given you a printable schedule guide to the 2013 season. We'll also share with you our conference-by-conference bold predictions (Monday), pay tribute to the BCS (Tuesday) and provide a comprehensive food guide for every school (Wednesday).

Rankings that stop at 10 or 25 leave way too many questions.

Who's the 26th-best? Who's the worst?

We decided to fix all of that and rank every FBS starting quarterback from No. 1 all the way down to No. 125.

We started with a base ranking, then assembled our team of writers and editors to battle it out. We used statistical analysis, pedigree and a player's fit within an offensive system.

We even went to great pains to find the next Johnny Manziel type that will emerge from nowhere to set the country on fire.

After three days and 44 emails (JOIN THE DISCUSSION HERE), we feel we created the most comprehensive list of quarterbacks you'll find on the web.

It's a quarterback's game, after all.

No writers or editors were harmed in the creation of this ranking.
