Nagbe was subbed with his muscle injury suffered in the defeat to Dallas, only for Neagle to get the better of Harrington again. Dempsey controls it well and finds the back of the net.

Oh yeah, that sub for Nagbe, he just committed a foul on Yedlin in the box. Clint Dempsey stepped up and claimed his first MLS hat trick since returning to the league.

Wow. With seven minutes left, it was 4-2 to Portland. Then three minutes later it was level. Then Dempsey tries for a double brace, only to be stopped by Weber. How many saves is that? Like eight?

Sigi Schmidt clearly targeted Harrington this afternoon because Yedlin and Neagle were having him for lunch. Apparently some Mike Mo' tastes better than Big-Ass Sandwiches. Once again, the uninspiring Piquionne came on for Urruti to really do nothing but one crazy shot and an elbow to the face of Gonzalo Pineda. Al Hassan tried to bring some live into the fifth minute of stoppage time with good footwork and determination on the edge of the box. The ensuing corner kick by Valeri beat the first man this time, but the shot coming from it was over the bar as the whistle blew.

Thank you Ben Zemanski for committing that stonewall penalty to make the game even more interesting...
