The contract year player looking to make the biggest cash grab is Atlanta’s Matt Ryan. In 2013, we saw Ryan notch career highs in completions (422), yards (4,719), and touchdown passes (32) which means the man dubbed “Matty Ice” has only just reached his prime. With a surrounding cast of offensive weapons that resembles the NFC Pro Bowl team, Ryan could surpass the outrageous $120 million contract handed to Baltimore’s Joe Flacco this offseason. With a current average draft position near the end of the fifth round in 12 team leagues, Ryan will need to replicate his 2012 numbers to provide value, which is certainly possible given his talent and the explosive nature of the Atlanta offense. The next big quarterback contract is on the horizon for Matt Ryan, who should continue producing solid fantasy point totals long after he slaps his John Hancock on the dotted line.
