Mingo is an elite pass rushing talent with a tremendous upside. After playing on an LSU defensive line loaded with NFL-caliber talent, Mingo will have a chance to show his exceptional athletic ability in the NFL. He's tall, has long arms and is explosive in his first step off the line. He has also shown in recent workouts that he has fluid hip movement and good coverage skills that will allow him to play 3-4 outside linebacker in the NFL.

This transition should be similar to Von Miller, who was an elite pass rusher during his Texas A&M career but has become an elite all-around player as an outside linebacker for the Broncos. Miller's fluid hips and speed allow him not only to defend faster running backs and tight ends, but also to use his pass-rushing skills to pressure opposing quarterbacks.
