Felipão Leaves Out Kaká, Ronaldinho and Ramires From Confed Cup
By Juan Arango
Luiz Felipe Scolari will always be in the spotlight and he will have detractors. The Brazilian press already bombarded him with questions as to why he did not call up the Atlético-MG captain. The Brazilian national team coach gave his list for the host nation's participation in their dress rehearsal this coming summer.
On top of Ronaldinho, Real Madrid man Kaká as well as Chelsea midfielder Ramires were not taken into account by the former Portugal and Palmeiras coach. "This is a group of players that will be looked at in this tournament, this is not the final World Cup list," said Scolari repeatedly during the press conference when asked about the absence of these key players.
While Ronaldinho was not called up, teammates Réver and Bernard were. The 20-year old attacker, who is rumored to be heading to Europe was already looked at by Felipão and he will be looked at to cause some problems for opposing defenses out wide. Réver is also a dangerous threat from the back with his solid play in the air.
Brazil will kick off the Confederations Cup when they face Japan at the Estadio Nacional in the city of Brasilia.
