Breaking Bo Jackson's school record for single-season rushing yards at Auburn probably does deserve special recognition.

That's exactly what Tre Mason got Friday night at Park Vista High School in Boynton Beach, Fla. The school hung his No. 10 jersey in the rafters during a 15-minute halftime ceremony at a basketball game.

"Seeing [my mom] break down almost made me break down," Mason told WPEC-TV.

Mason ran for 1,816 yards and 23 touchdowns for Auburn during the 2013 season, helping the Tigers to an SEC championship and an appearance in the final BCS championship game against Florida State.

Auburn may want to keep an eye on the high school, as Mason's little brother is a two-sport star there, AL.com reported.

Mason is in town to train for the NFL Combine. The Heisman finalist wore No. 21 in college.
