Bio

Khalil Mack is an outside linebacker for the Oakland Raiders. He was a three-time All-Mid American Conference first team selection and named MAC Defensive Player of the Year in 2013 at the University of Buffalo.

Early Years

Mack was born on February 22, 1991 in Fort Pierce, FL and attended Westwood High School. He made 140 tackles and 9.0 sacks during his senior season and was named Third-Team All-State in Florida. He was also named All-Area first team and helped his school win a district championship that season. Despite his success in high school, he only received two scholarship offers and decided to attend the University of Buffalo.

University of Buffalo

Mack redshirted as a freshman in 2009 and became a starter as a redshirt freshman the next season, making 68 tackles and 4.5 sacks while garnering third team all-conference honors. As a sophomore, he was a first team all-conference selection after leading the Bulls with 64 tackles, 5.5 sacks, and five forced fumbles. After missing the season opener in 2012, he recorded 94 tackles, 8.0 sacks, and forced four fumbles en route to being named First-Team All-MAC for a second straight season. Following another dominant all-conference season as a senior, Mack wrapped up his college career tied for first for the NCAA career tackles for a loss category and set a new record with 16 career forced fumbles.

Oakland Raiders

The Oakland Raiders selected Mack with the fifth overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft, making him the highest selected Buffalo player ever. He agreed to terms with Oakland on a four-year deal on May 15, 2014.
