In a shocking turn of events, undrafted free agent Collin Klein was not offered a contract by the Houston Texans.

Head coach Gary Kubiak had nothing but good things to say about the quarterback and it was also said that Klein put together a solid rookie minicamp performance.

Despite Kubiak’s praise for the quarterback’s football instincts and arm strength, it is likely he did not receive a contract because of the depth already at the position.

Klein will need to look for another opportunity with another team as a free agent if he wishes to continue his dream as a NFL player.

The former Kansas State player is determined to make it into the league as a quarterback, after he insisted to only work on quarterback related drills in advance of the NFL Draft. It is said that Klein passed up on opportunities to perform for scouts as a tight end or receiver.

Klein finished 3rd in the 2012 Heisman Trophy race as a quarterback.
