Lions RB Reggie Bush May Sit Against ‘Skins
By Allen Kim
According to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk, the Detroit Lions are leaning toward playing it safe with Reggie Bush and his knee injury, and they may opt to sit him out this weekend when they face Washington.
Bush has been vocal about his desire to play, and he even participated in practice on Friday. He reportedly looked fine while running and catching passes, but the team has some concerns over his knee holding up.
In his absence, Joique Bell will get the call and receive the majority of touches out of the backfield. Bell should have a field day against the ‘Skins and their atrocious defense, but having Bush available would be ideal. Bush adds another dimension to their offense, particularly with his ability to move around the field and catch passes.
This is shaping up to be a game-time decision, and we likely won’t hear more about his status until the Lions are in Washington prepping for the game.
