Although he was suspended for the first game and played sparingly in the second game, Jeremy Hill easily leads the team in every rushing category and has looked good doing it. He’s approaching 1,000 yards (922) and is averaging 7.2 yards per carry with 12 rushing touchdowns.
Here’s an interesting stat for the upcoming game against Alabama. Jeremy Hill has run for more than 100 yards in every game he’s started this season except for two. He rushed for 86 yards at Georgia and 64 at Mississippi, both losses. It’s safe to say that LSU will need Hill to run for at least 100 yards at Alabama in order for the Tigers to control the clock and have a chance to win that game.
