Nick Barnett has finally found a new home with the Washington Redskins after a practically non-existant free agent market for his services, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.

Barnett confirmed the news, tweeting “HTTR” after signing with the team, which stands for “Hail to the Redskins.”

He signed a one-year deal with the team (likely for the veteran’s minimum), and it’s a nice pickup for Washington. While he didn’t garner much interest during free agency, Barnett was solid last year, and he’ll provide some much-needed depth for the ‘Skins at the linebacker position after losing Keenan Robinson for the season.

After two solid years with the Buffalo Bills, Barnett was cut by the team earlier in the year. He had 112 tackles, two sacks and three forced fumbles last season. If he can continue to produce at a relatively high level, this signing could end up being a bargain for Washington.
