The Tennessee Titans will draft a quarterback this year.

It's not going to be in the first round. It's likely not to be in the second round. And since they don't have a third-round pick at the moment, it seems any new quarterback the Titans bring in to push Jake Locker and Charlie Whitehurst would be a Day Three selection. There will be plenty there for Ken Whisenhunt to choose from. Maybe a dual threat prospect like Brett Smith. Maybe an efficient if unspectacular David Fales. Maybe a project like Logan Thomas or Stephen Morris.

They will add a quarterback to the mix, just in case Whisenhunt decides that Locker isn't the long-term answer. They're just not going to do it at No. 11. There are too many other priorities for Tennessee to address, and not enough quarterbacks worthy of being drafted that high.
