2012 season: 29 rec., 316 yds., 5 TDs

Playmaker -- that’s what Xavier Grimble is. He reminds me of Anthony McCoy, also a USC tight end, or Jermaine Gresham, with that run-after-catch ability. With playmakers all over the field in 2012, Grimble didn’t get as many targets as he deserved, but he will definitely get plenty of chances in 2013.

There’s nothing worse than dropping a sure TD pass. Grimble did just that a couple of times in 2012. He has very good hands but every now and then, he’ll let the moment get to him. If he can eliminate his drops in 2013, there’s no reason why he won’t be one of the first five tight ends taken in the 2014 draft.
