The Oakland Raiders have signed offensive lineman Andre Gurode. A five-time Pro-Bowler, Gurode should be a sterling addition to the Raiders’ offensive line. The signing comes shortly after offensive tackle Menelik Watson, Oakland’s second-round pick this year, was declared unable to practice after being placed on the non-football injury list with an undisclosed injury.

Gurode, 34, played for the Dallas Cowboys from 2002-2010. The veteran, who is entering his 12th season, last played in the NFL for the Baltimore Ravens in 2011. In 2012, he was signed by the Chicago Bears but did not play for them.

In other Raider news, first-round draft pick, cornerback D.J. Hayden, has passed a physical and has been cleared to practice. Outside linebacker Miles Burris (knee surgery) and defensive tackle Pat Sims (undisclosed injury) are on the physically unable to perform list.
