The Southeastern Conference is known for running the ball.

Without a good running game, it's almost impossible to succeed within the conference.

Put it this way, every SEC team that has won the national championship in the conference's seven-title streak has finished top two in the conference in team rushing. Needless to say, having a good running back is key to any team.
