Ranking The Top 10 SEC Running Backs

T.J. Yeldon would rank high almost by default, given the recent history of Alabama starting running backs. But Yeldon also rushed for more than 1,100 yards last season — as a backup. Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images.

What other backup running back do you know that rushed for more than 1,000 yards last year?

T.J. Yeldon rushed for 1,108 yards backing up Eddie Lacy as the Crimson Tide won their third national title in four years.

Now, Yeldon is the feature back for the Tide, which means opposing defenses better watch out.

The Tide come out of the gate strong against Virginia Tech and Texas A&M. Yeldon's presence will be especialy important in the second game as Alabama looks to avenge last year's defeat.
