Rookie wide receivers can be a difficult bunch in the world of fantasy football and often leave fantasy owners holding dead weight like a condo purchased in 2007. Young receivers take time to learn the delicate details of professional route running and defensive schemes, but that doesn’t mean they can’t produce some fake football goodness along the way. Fantasy owners are always encouraged to pack their late-round picks with as much upside as possible, and what better way to do that than selecting a shiny new rookie? Now, anybody can sit down and tell you that Sam Bradford is going to love Tavon Austin and DeAndre Hopkins is the second coming of Andre Johnson, but there are a handful of less-heralded rookie wide receivers that could potentially make fine late round targets, but will require some extra attention during NFL training camps and preseason games.
